Molly Day 2 Grumpin'

Molly is now 2 days old. She's not actually crying in this photo, just making the face while asleep.

We got home from the hospital at 5:30 last night and spent the evening just hanging out and getting to know Molly a little more.

We had the expected long night last night. We were up with her until after 11:00. She slept a bit, then I think Trina was up with her until 3 a.m or so, which included a 1.5 hour feeding session. Then I was up with her, managed to nod off with her when Trina awoke at 5:30 and came out to feed her. Trina fed her for a while, then decided to try supplimenting her breast feeding with a little formula.

That did the trick. Molly just wasn't getting enough colostrum. She is much happier with a full belly - just like her dad. We'll continue with that until Trina's milk starts flowing in the next day or two.

Trina is taking a much needed nap after her 2.5 hours of sleep. She's feeling pretty good overall; I think it is like the energy of being at mile 2 of a marathon.
