Stopped by Houghton beach in Kirkland on Wednesday evening to take some pictures of what I hoped would be a good sunset. As it turns out there were two teenage girls (and a younger brother supervising) with a video camera, filming themselves running and jumping off the end of the dock...in February!!! Had no idea what they were doing, asside from the video camera until they said "Ready, now!" and ran down the deck. There were numerous versions of "Holly shit this is cold!" after they jumped in. They were wearing wetsuits, but probably never comprehended 40-degree water.
That was bold.
I was able to switch from the telephoto to the wide angle and get them just as they were getting back to the beach.
